My story

hi, I'm syd ✷

as a little girl I was always drawing. stars in the margins, rainbows with faces, me jumping rope. those were some of my very first drawings, and they're where I first figured out that I loved making things.

somewhere along the way, grown-up life took over. then I had my daughter, and my postpartum season was harder than I ever imagined: a baby and six surgeries in seven months. it put a lot in perspective. life is unpredictable, and now that I have a daughter, the stakes feel too high to let fear of judgment run my life.

so I picked the paintbrush back up. painting banners is how I'm getting back to that creative kid, and putting my imperfect, kinda weird art out into the world.
